Hello World

metadata engineering

Welcome to the blog. I’m Adam, a data engineer, and this is where I’ll write about things I’m building, learning, or thinking about.

What to expect

I’ll mostly write about data engineering — pipelines, tooling, architecture patterns, and the trade-offs that come up day-to-day. Occasionally I’ll post about adjacent topics: infrastructure, Python, or interesting datasets.

How this blog works

Posts live as plain Markdown files in the repository. When I push to main, Cloudflare Pages builds the site and publishes them automatically. No CMS, no database — just files and a build step.

Up next

A few things I’m planning to write about:

  • Building reliable ELT pipelines with dbt
  • When to reach for Streamlit vs a proper BI tool
  • Data quality monitoring without overengineering it

Stay tuned.
